Door Replacement in Issaquah, Bellevue & Sammamish

Doors take more abuse than any other opening in the house — used daily, exposed to everything, and usually the first thing anyone sees.

We replace every exterior door on a house across Issaquah, Bellevue, Redmond and the surrounding communities, from the front door to the one into the garage.

By type

  • Front doors — security, insulation and kerb appeal in one decision. Also where back doors, side doors and garage entry doors live, because they are the same product in a different opening.
  • Patio doors — sliding, french, folding and stacking. The hardest-working opening in most homes.

By material

Fiberglass

The default recommendation for an entry door here. It will not warp, rot or swell, it takes a wood-grain finish convincingly, and it insulates better than wood or steel. More on fiberglass doors.

Wood

Unmatched on a period or high-end home, and the only honest choice on some elevations. Needs a protected opening and periodic maintenance. More on wood doors.

Vinyl

Mostly sliding patio doors. Efficient, low maintenance, cost-effective. More on vinyl doors.

What decides the price

  • The opening. A single back door and a four-panel folding wall are different projects entirely.
  • Glass. Sidelights, a transom, or a full glazed panel change both the cost and the security picture.
  • The frame. Where the existing frame is square and sound, a slab replacement is quicker and cheaper. Rot at the sill is common here and means replacing the whole unit.
  • Hardware. Multi-point locking and heavier hinges cost more and are usually worth it.

You get an exact number at the consultation, with no obligation. Financing is available.

PSE rebates. Patio doors are rated on their own U-factor band — 0.31 to 0.35 for the standard tier, 0.30 or lower for the upgraded tier. If PSE is your primary heat source you may qualify when replacing single-pane units. Programme runs through 31 December 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Do you replace the frame as well as the door?

When it needs it. Where the existing frame is sound a slab replacement is the smaller job, and we will say so.

How long does a door take?

Doors are built to order, so expect several weeks of manufacturing. Installation is usually a single day per door.

Can you match new doors to my windows?

Yes — colour, finish and hardware can be matched across the openings. Worth thinking about if windows are on the horizon too.

Do you do overhead garage doors?

No. We replace the entry door into a garage — the man door — but overhead sectional doors are a different trade.

How much is a door replacement?

It depends on far more than the door. A slab swap into a sound frame is the cheapest version of this job. Once the frame, threshold or sill has to come out, or the opening is out of square, the work and the number both change. Material matters too: fiberglass, wood and vinyl sit at different price points, and glass inserts add to it. We measure on site and put the figure in writing rather than guessing over the phone.

Do I need to measure the door before I call?

No, and we would rather you did not rely on it. A door opening has to be checked for width, height, square and the condition of the frame and threshold, and the number on the old door is often not the number you order to. Measuring is part of the free quote.

How much is a sliding glass door replacement?

Sliding doors span a wider range than entry doors because the sizes vary so much, from a standard two-panel unit to a wide multi-panel opening. The frame condition and whether the header needs work are the two things that move the price most. We will tell you on site which version of the job yours is.
