My house on the Ridge is about twenty-five years old. Is it time?

Usually, yes — or it will be shortly. Builder-grade vinyl from that era was specified to a price, and twenty to thirty years is roughly where the seals start letting go. The tell is fog between the panes that will not clean off, condensation pooling on the sill on cold mornings, or a sash that has started to bind. One failed unit is a repairable-looking problem; several across the same elevation usually means the whole run is at the same point in its life.

Do I need HOA or architectural approval on Snoqualmie Ridge?

Several Ridge neighborhoods do have architectural guidelines, and exterior changes such as frame colour or grid pattern can need sign-off. Check with your own association, because the rules are not uniform across the Ridge. Do I need a permit to replace windows or doors in Snoqualmie?
