Window & Door Replacement in Redmond, WA

Redmond homes are hitting the age where windows start asking for attention. Much of the city went up through the growth years of the late 1980s to the 2000s — which means a lot of Redmond houses are now running on builder-grade windows that are twenty to thirty-five years old. Seals fail. Frames stick. Rooms have a cold corner nobody sits in.

We’re a family-owned window and door company based in Issaquah, about fifteen minutes south, and we’ve been replacing windows and doors across Redmond and the Eastside since 2010.

Your Local Redmond Window & Door Company

We are not a national chain with a call centre. The person who measures your windows works here, the crew who installs them works here, and if something needs attention afterwards you ring the same number.

Every window and door we install is backed by our lifetime warranty, and our showroom in Issaquah is open by appointment if you’d rather see and handle the products before deciding.

Why Redmond Homeowners Choose Window Fellas

Local, Not a Chain

Issaquah-based, Eastside-focused. We are not driving in from another county, and we are not subcontracting your job to whoever is free.

The Install Is Most of the Job

A good window fitted badly will fail early — racked frames, seals that give out, draughts that were not there before. Our crews do this work every day, and the detailing around the sill and flashing is where the difference shows up five winters later.

Trusted Brands

We are a Milgard Certified Dealer, and we install Andersen, Marvin, Lindsay, Coeur d’Alene, ThermaTru, Codel and Rogue Valley products as well. We match the product to your home and budget rather than pushing one line.

Built for the Pacific Northwest

Nine months of damp is hard on windows. We specify for our climate — Low-E glass, warm-edge spacers and frames that will not swell — which is why the condensation problem that ruins sills mostly goes away with a proper replacement.

Serving Neighbourhoods Across Redmond

We work throughout Redmond, including Education Hill, Grass Lawn, Overlake, Idylwood, Willows, Rose Hill, Bear Creek, Avondale, Union Hill, Novelty Hill, Redmond Ridge, Trilogy, Downtown Redmond and the Marymoor area.

Not sure whether we reach you? Just ask — we cover the wider Eastside from Issaquah.

Recent Work in Redmond

A skywall replacement on a Redmond home — the exterior, and the room it opens onto, before and after. Skywalls are the biggest single change you can make to how a room feels, and this is what that looks like in practice.

Another Redmond skywall

A different home, a few streets away — this one seen from the inside. Dark grid-divided frames replaced with clean white ones, and noticeably more daylight in the room.

Skywalls are structural work rather than a straight swap — openings usually need a header, and sometimes an engineer. It takes longer than window replacement and costs more, which is why we quote them after a site visit rather than over the phone.

The PSE Rebate on Redmond Window Replacement

If PSE is the primary heat source for your home, you may qualify for a rebate when you replace single-pane windows — $50 per window (up to $750) with standard efficient glazing, or $100 per window (up to $1,500) if you upgrade to a U-factor of 0.22 or lower. Income-qualified households can receive $200 per window (up to $2,000) through PSE’s Efficiency Boost programme.

We will specify to the rebate and help you file the paperwork. The current programme runs through 31 December 2026. See PSE’s rebate details.

Window & Door Questions from Redmond Homeowners

How much does window replacement cost in Redmond?

It depends on opening size, window style, glass package, colour and how many you are doing. Whole-home projects cost meaningfully less per window than one-offs. We do not publish per-window pricing because it would be wrong for your house — you get an exact figure at the consultation, with no obligation. Financing is available.

My windows are from the nineties and starting to fog. Replace them or just the glass?

This is the most common question we get in Redmond, and the answer is genuinely case by case. If the frames are sound and only the sealed units have failed, we can often replace the glass alone and keep your existing frames — considerably cheaper. If the frames are tired, sticking, or you dislike how they look, new glass is money spent on something you will replace anyway. We will tell you which you are looking at.

Do I need a permit to replace windows or doors in Redmond?

Straight like-for-like replacement usually does not require one, but changing an opening size, adding a new opening, or structural work generally does. Requirements change, so we check with the City of Redmond for your specific job and handle it as part of the project.

Which windows hold up best in the Pacific Northwest?

Vinyl is the workhorse here — it does not absorb moisture, so it will not swell or rot, and it never needs painting. Clad-wood is the answer where the interior sightline matters. Fiberglass earns its cost on large openings and dark exterior colours. We will tell you which your house actually calls for, including when the cheaper option is the right one.

Do you replace patio doors, skywalls and skylights too?

Yes. Doors and skywalls get the same crew and the same attention as windows. Skywalls and moving glass walls are structural work, so they take longer and are quoted after a site visit.

How long does a typical installation take?

Windows are custom-built to your openings, so expect several weeks of manufacturing after you order. Installation itself is usually one to three days for a whole house.
